I am very glad to know that Chittagong Range Police is launching its official website. An official website is becoming so mainstream these days that people expect every service provider to have a website of their own. It gives a service-provider the opportunity to publish people-oriented information on who, why, what, when and where to get the help.
All our policing activities are directed towards a single goal, i.e. offering quality service to our clients-the people. So, providing people with necessary information about police and inviting their spontaneous opinion on police matters are the twin demands of time. I think the opening of this website will be a giant leap towards that end. But we will consider this effort a success only when people are benefited by the information and services that Chittagong Range Police will be providing through the website.
We always expect active cooperation from people in combating crime and maintaining law and order. The Range police website, as we believe, will provide people with the rare scope of bringing into our notice any law and order-related issues that may be of our common interest.
I express my heartfelt gratitude to Chittagong Range Police, and particularly those who were involved in the move to launch the website successfully. We look forward to seeing more such initiatives, which will add to effective and pro-people policing in the Range.
